Creative collaboration for a cause…

Hop for Hope was an artful charity project where 40 artists painted 40 kangaroos to create the country’s largest family friendly art exhibition – all to raise funds for The Alannah and Madeline Foundation.

The project was the brainchild of Yarra Valley Chocolaterie owners, Ian & Leanne Neeland who commissioned Australian artists and identities to transform life-sized kangaroo sculptures into unique artworks. The “roos” were showcased at a month long outdoor exhibition in the Chocolaterie’s grounds, where visitors could vote for their favourite. An online auction was at the centre of the fundraising efforts.

With artists including David Bromley, Rowena Martinson, Madeline Stamer and Michael Leunig plus celebrities Chrissie Swan, Miguel Maestre and Melissa Doyle involved, Hop for Hope raised over $350 000.

Q’s work devised the PR & Promotion strategy for the fundraising exhibition & auction and oversaw the digital platforms, promotional collateral, photo shoot, social media, exhibition launch event, media photo calls and a publicity campaign  – naturally as a donation to this worthy cause.
